I’m Saartje! I’m 23 years old. I’ve been living at Riekerhaven for 3 years, and I started as a community builder at the beginning of 2025. I moved to Riekerhaven to have more nice people around me. From the very beginning, I’ve been helping with activities and organizing parties myself, so not much has changed now that I’m a community builder. I love being creative, spending time with others, and enjoying a good party every now and then 🙂
I’m almost finished with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In my free time, I have way too many hobbies to keep track of. Lately, my top hobbies have been painting, bouldering, cooking with friends, and making music. Most importantly: I have a super sweet 16-year-old diva cat.
As a community builder, I mainly focus on things happening outdoors around the site. Among other things, I help make the festival area look nice, work with the terrain team to keep the streets clean, assist with problems, and organize activities.
Since I first moved to Riekerhaven, I’ve noticed how important it is to have neighbors you can connect with. I believe that everyone at Riekerhaven can find their own match with others. But that doesn’t happen without reaching out to your neighbors — that’s why having different types of activities and a strong community is so important. Something for everyone :).
My favorite things about Riekerhaven are having spontaneous chats on the street with neighbors, sharing, giving away, and lending food or items to each other, and coming together for campfires, crafts, and cooking/eating together.
